Powerball jackpot Prize is More Trending then Ever. Check out Full Story this in post
On Saturday night, another Powerball drawing came and went without a winner. This means that the jackpot has now soared to an estimated $900 million! Unfortunately, no ticket matched the winning combination of white balls 2, 9, 43, 55, 57 and red Powerball 18, even though the jackpot was already at an impressive $875 million.
But don’t worry, there’s still a chance to win big! Ticket buyers for Monday’s drawing can either choose to receive $900 million paid out in yearly increments or take a one-time lump sum of $465.1 million before taxes. This top prize is the third biggest Powerball jackpot ever and the seventh largest in U.S. lottery history, according to a statement from Powerball early on Sunday.
There was no winner for the Powerball jackpot this time, but three lucky ticket holders matched all five white balls and are eligible to claim $1 million prizes. Two of these tickets were sold in Texas and one in Colorado. The jackpot will continue to grow until someone wins.
The odds of winning the Powerball are 1 in 292.2 million, which is designed to build big prizes that attract more players. The largest Powerball jackpot ever was $2.04 billion in November.
The last time someone won the Powerball jackpot was on April 19th, with a top prize of nearly $253 million. Since then, there have been 37 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner.
Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
